I always forget how easy it is to toast a tortilla! Edible bowls are THE BEST and tostadas are always a fun spin on tacos.
Ingredients
4 large tortillas (I got the burrito size ones
Your favorite taco filling (I sauteed ground beef with taco spice mix + extra cumin and paprika + grilled green and red bell peppers + grilled onion)
Lettuce
Shredded cheese
Guacamole (diced avocados, lemon, salt, pepper)
Sour cream + a bit of water
Directions
Prepare your taco filling and thinly slide the lettuce.
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Brush your tortilla on both sides with oil. If you are going for a bowl shape, find a pie tin or cake tin and carefully push the tortilla inside (folding the edges in like a present totally works). Or, you could just bake them on a flat baking sheet to end up with mini ones like the picture below! Check on them after 2-3 minutes, and remember that they will toast super fast.
Let the tostada cups cool on a cooling rack. Add all of your toppings and enjoy!
