Avocado + Toasted Bagel is one of my favorite breakfasts, but that also means that I often have leftover bagels! This French Toast recipe is a great way to revive almost-stale bagels into a sweet treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 bagels cut in half
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup almond milk/ milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
(toppings)
- blackberries
- sliced banana
- maple syrup
Directions:
Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, and sugar together. Soak the bagels in the mixture for 10 or more minutes.
Heat a pan on medium-high and add a bit of butter. Add the bagels to the pan in a flat layer and cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown Flip each bagel and cook until the other side is also golden brown.
Prepare your toppings and enjoy!
